  • Infosys ended down 2.68% at ₹1,114.60 on the NSE on June 11, dropping ₹30.70. The stock moved between ₹1,109.00 and ₹1,133.70 during the session.
  • Indian IT stocks slipped again, with the Nifty IT index dropping 1.6%, Reuters said. The sector has now fallen for a seventh straight session.
  • Infosys rolled out new AI-driven projects, mentioning CMMI AI Maturity pilot recognition and a new multi-country ERP partnership with IHH Healthcare.

Infosys Limited shares dropped 2.68% to ₹1,114.60 on the NSE on June 11, dragged down along with other Indian tech stocks. Volume totaled 9.37 million shares. The stock hit a session low of ₹1,109.00, just above its 52-week low of ₹1,089.00, according to Moneycontrol.

The drop outpaced the main indexes. Reuters said the Nifty 50 lost 0.23% to 23,161.6 and the BSE Sensex slipped 0.2% to 73,832.55. Most major sectors fell, with 12 of 16 closing in the red. Small-cap shares fell 0.7%, while mid-caps dropped 0.8%.

Infosys shares dropped as Indian IT names kept sliding. Reuters reported the Nifty IT index fell 1.6% and is down 10.6% across seven straight sessions. Investors are worried about AI-driven changes and the impact of high U.S. interest rates on tech budgets in Infosys’s main market. “The key concern is that productivity improvements in software engineering are occurring much faster than in non-software domains,” Sumit Pokharna of Kotak Securities told Reuters. Nifty IT dropped over 2% during the session, with Infosys, HCL Technologies and TCS leading losses, Moneycontrol reported. The drop was linked to global tech weakness and fresh worries about how artificial intelligence could hit IT services growth. HSBC said in the report that AI-driven deflation might drag on the sector for another six to eight quarters.

Infosys shares dropped with the rest of the sector even as company news hit. Infosys said on June 11 it had finished and helped build the CMMI AI Maturity Framework and Pilot Assessment. The company is among the first to finish the pilot worldwide. “This pilot is shaping what responsible, enterprise-grade AI adoption looks like in practice,” said Dinesh Rao, Executive Vice President and Chief Delivery Officer at Infosys. Infosys said it will work with IHH Healthcare on a strategic partnership for an AI-driven ERP transformation. The project will start in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore and aims to bring together systems for finance, procurement, supply chain, HR, and enterprise management. Venky Ananth, EVP and Global Head – Healthcare at Infosys, said the deal shows Infosys can “operationalize AI-led transformation at scale.” Infosys

Broker views stayed mixed on AI upside and near-term risk for the sector. Moneycontrol said CLSA kept its “outperform” on Infosys and stuck to a ₹1,512 target, pointing to a possible $300 billion to $400 billion GenAI market for IT firms by 2030. CLSA said Infosys already makes about $1 billion from GenAI-linked work. Moneycontrol also flagged ongoing concerns about weak client spending, demand questions and AI disruption. Moneycontrol

Infosys’s U.S.-listed ADR dropped again in New York, closing down 1.36% at $11.60 on June 11, MarketWatch said. That’s a fifth day in a row lower for the ADR, while both the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied.
